The House

The house is an 18th-century building, integrated into a rural property, whose restoration respected its original characteristics and introduced modern elements that provide comfort and convenience to those who seek them.

It is located in Lalim (Lamego), in the Douro region, an area with a high density of monuments and exceptional conditions for cultural tourism.

In addition to the ten guest rooms, the House also features a reading room, a billiard room, and a bar; two dining rooms with a spacious covered balcony; fireplaces in the rooms and in some of the bedrooms; a meeting hall; a pool set in a vast lawn of one thousand square meters, nestled in the pleasant environment of the Quinta and surrounded by apple and cherry orchards, whose fruits, in their production seasons, can be picked and enjoyed by our guests.

Surrounded by a lush hedge that separates it from the apple and cherry orchards cultivated on the estate, the outdoor area features a one-thousand-square-meter lawn, divided into two contiguous areas, one of which houses the pool. Shaded by imposing trees that make it truly pleasant, it is the perfect place to relax. On foot, you can enjoy the typical streets of the ancient village of Lalim; with prior arrangement, we can also offer beautiful bike rides to the Anta de Mazes, a proto-medieval settlement that still retains much of its primitiveness.

To ensure our guests enjoy both a recreational and cultural stay, we have created three tour itineraries through which you will get to know some of the most important monuments our ancestors left us, which are essential milestones in the History of Portugal. At the same time, you will enjoy landscapes of singular beauty and the contact with the people and lands that Miguel Torga and Aquilino Ribeiro, among others, so well depicted. To enjoy these, you just need to request them at reception upon check-in.
